Cole Burkhalter, known as VANITY!, is the creative force behind Creations in Vain. Born and raised in rural East Texas, Cole’s journey into music began early, shaped by a family of music professors and a classical background in piano and vocal performance. His love for composition and storytelling took him across Europe with an award-winning a cappella chorus, a foundation that still echoes in his work.

As VANITY!, Cole crafts sonic worlds that blend rich melodies, driving organic percussion, and cinematic depth. His sets and productions weave deep, hypnotic soundscapes that evoke euphoria and a trance-like state, seamlessly blended with Latin influences and tribal rhythms.
